16 Milessss

I just wanted to start with the image. THAT is what I ran 16 miles around this morning from 4-7am. It was about a 2 mile loop so basically a giant track. Wowww talk about mental toughness. I passed my car EIGHT times!! It took me exactly 3 hours.

So not much to say as usual. I've been lacking in creativity and thought lately unfortunately. But the run went well miles 1-14. Miles 15 and 16 I cried through. I had no specific pain it was kinda just my entire lower body radiating through me every time I took a walk break. It was intense.... my body was just exhausted. But overall was able to finish strong and felt good :).

And by the way.... today is... MY 21ST BIRTHDAY!!!! Yepppers... time to go have some fun now :D

A loop would be tough. Sometimes, you gotta do what you gotta do though.

  3. Wow! Why did you have to do 2-mile laps? You did this alone? I would have cried too lol The most I've ever run by myself is 10. Great job and happy birthday!

  4. AWESOME JOB! Happy B-day you young lil thang ;)

That is hardcore doing 3 hours of running. My gosh. I find often times the endurance comes in just being OK with being out spending that much of your day running!

Happy B-day... 21 huh... so I assume that you're going to try your first drink today?

That's a great birthday run but I could see where it would be mentally exhausting to run by your car 8 times! eek!

  16. Happy Belated 21st! Obviously you didn't die, so that's a good thing :)

I know what you mean about the crying thing. The first to half marathons I did I felt like that at mile 12. Good to know this could happen in the course of marathon training. Nice run!
