Ran 5 miles on the treadmill today. I woke up way too late to run outside and I have class until 9pm tonight so no running after class :(
Knee felt pretty good! Got a little sore around 4.5-5 miles which is exactly what the physical therapist told me would probably happen. I guess we'll just keep it at this point and keep strengthening the VMO muscle and hope that we can raise that threshold little by little :)
Anyone else with runners' knee that wants to pass on tips??? I think I'm finally emotionally ready to take advice from people ;)
Great job! Cycling always helped me when I had knee issues.
ReplyDeleteYou may also want to try some yoga for the knees. I use this 20 minute podcast:

And here are some good yoga poses for knees

I have no advice for runner's knee. I know when I had ITBS pain at my knee, my mileage slowly built up farther and farther without pain. Just takes time to heal these things I guess.
ReplyDeleteSending good healing thoughts your knee's way. :)
Come back to the blog world!! You are missed!! :(
ReplyDeleteI don't have advice for runners knee either but great job on the run! Hope it's feeling better for you! :0)
