For My Knee:
- @ least twice/week
- Strengthen Quads w/Leg Press (Individual & Combined Legs)
- Strengthen VMO w/Leg Press while squeezing kickball between knees
- @ least once/week
- Strengthen hamstrings somehow? (machine in gym apartment?)
- Strengthen Abductors somehow?
- As Much As Possible!!!
- Stretch...
- Hamstrings
- Quads
- IT Band
- Calves
- Hips/Glutes
Possible Races (I'm eyeing these) --> I think it would be neat to do a half marathon a month for the first four or five months of 2011 and then train for a marathon for the fall of 2011 :) The bold ones are ones I'm doing FOR SURE. The rest are just possibilities.
- January 2nd - DeLeon Springs Half Marathon (De Leon Springs, FL) **REGISTERED AS OF 12/25/2010**
- January 23rd - Ocala Half Marathon (Ocala)
- February 27th - Gasparilla Half Marathon (Tampa)
- March 13th - Sarasota Half Marathon (Sarasota) OR March 6th - Orange Blossom Half Marathon (Tavares)
- April 10th - Irongirl Half Marathon (Clearwater)
- May 15th - Chicago Spring Half Marathon (Chicago) - optional, I couldn't find any Florida races so if I have a few vacation days I'll do this one :) If not, I'll just not race this month :)
- June - October : Marathon Training
- Oct. 30th - 36th Marine Corps Marathon (Arlington, VA)
- November - Recovery!
- December 2011 - OUC Half Marathon (Orlando, FL)

ReplyDeleteInteresting, I've got my eye on MCM as well. Not committed yet, but I need some redemption from this year's Chicago FAIL. Looks like you got a solid plan going here. I hope it all works out for ya :)
