Training Plan Week 1 - Recap

Overall I'm pretty darn happy with it. I think the first couple weeks I'm just going to have to be flexible because my body is getting into the "exercising every day routine" and that's certainly not normal for me. SO, until that is normal I can expect some aches and pains. And at this point in training, I'm going to give my body any rest it needs (within reason) to get myself to being able to exercise every day.

How are all your weeks going?

  1. You definitely had a good week! Holding off on your long run was a smart move. Even if you can't run, you can do some crosstraining - hop on a bike or go for a swim.

    1. Thanks! Yeah, I was bummed about the run but I think it was the right choice. Too early in the program to be risking stuff!

  3. My week is going okay. Spent some time at the gym tonight which felt really good. Great job on the week. I'm sorry you weren't feeling the greatest. And by the way, thanks for saying I should be a full time yoga teacher. I'd love that.

  5. Awesome job! Sometimes the best thing to do for your training is REST.

  6. Sometimes you have to be flexible because there is no point in pushing yourself to an injury! I think you had a solid week, and I like all the cross training!

    1. Thanks! the cross training is definitely a new thing, trying to get used to it. My MO is just running but that hasn't worked in the past (i.e. injuries) so trying to jump on the crosstraining bandwagon!
